Starfire Concept Art

Upon reading a little of DC Comics' New 52 run and seeing what they've done with the character of Starfire(I'm Very on the fence with their rebooted portrayal of her in general), let alone simply being a Teen Titans fan as a kid, I chose one day to take on conceptualizing just how I'd picture her on film or a game.  Drawing a little inspiration from the look of a super saiyan 3 was quite a bit how I approached her hair, and sorry to those who hated Iron Man 3 but yeah < : ) the Extremis look was where the look for her skin more or less came from; because she, like a Kryptonian, draws her power from the sun, I really wanted it to look as though she was on fire from the inside out.  As for a couple of her outfit variants that I designed, they were a bit inspired by some work done by renowned artist, Vallejo.  Those of you who're familiar with his rather incredible work might notice a slight reference to one of his pieces in the upper right hand costume concept.  The reason for such a Vallejo atmosphere to her look and fashion was relatively simple: Her race, the Tamarraneans(Hope I spelled that right), not only do they draw power from the sun to fly n all, but their way of life is vastly based on emotion more so then that of ours, and they transmit/process emotions by means of physical contact, so naturally sex and pleasure mean worlds to them.  So there it all is, fire away!
