Oh Boy, what a joy this piece was! And honest to All, this had taken me more or less 6 to 8 hours, over 50 layers, and a LOT of Blurring! Needless to say, I'm a Protoss fan so I wanted to show the gripping power of one side of this species: The Templars, especially what they become: the Archons, and I wanted to put the two kinds(the Twilight and the Dark)side-by-side simply for the fact alone that such a duo would be an unfathomably powerful force. Putting the dark templar in the middle was not only a means for both fun and compositional practice, but also a subtle way of asking all the Starcraft/Blizzard fans out there, you know, which do You like the best? the Dark Archons or the Twilight Archons? I honestly can't choose between the two, but like many people, I Was sad to see the Dark Archon excluded in Wings of Liberty. I hope you all like this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it this weekend, all in the effort of grabbing Blizzard's attention:D Rights 2 Blizzard! keep it up guys, you rock!

Well I have to admit that this art in particular just brought back so many memories when I used to play Starcraft 1, and so far it's a simple piece of art that clash together all what prottoss are about; Discipline, power and Wrath!

However I have to say that you forgot to add something really important that is the High templar, cuz their fusions forms the archon (the blue one) and the Dark Templar in the image forms the Dark Archon (the Red one).

But overall it is just majestic the way the dark templar clashes into the image. The colors are stunning by themselves but I really think that The archons (both) need a little retouch cuz they need more detail in my opinion. And there's some lines in the Blue archon as well that looks from the original sketch.

BUt so far I'll give it a solid 9/10.. I really like it. And I think I'm gonna play SCII soon Hehe.

lol, it does indeed. Thank you! This is one of many pics of mine I've intended to update for awhile now, especially due to the missing factor in the middle(High Templar), it's time that's always the nemesis in the equation.

I was like looking all over the internet for a yellowish looking 'toss archon pic and I just joined this site just curious what one looked like having cracked out on the original. Actually the darks were only available inthe first expansion pack with kerrigan story line. So nice goin with this one.

Great job. Pleasant to watch.

Only real thing I dislike is the fact that the two archons seem to be abit out of place, my guess would be the lightning is off (as in shadows) compared to the templar in the middle (which in my opinion is the strongest point in this art work). Should try to smooth it out somehow.


But hey, im no expert, just giving my 2cents! Great job!
